The problem was finding the words to say it in French.<\/p>\n        <p>At first I often depended on other people to understand or make myself understood. And although I started working very soon, for a while I was surrounded mainly by people who spoke Spanish, so I didn't have many opportunities to practice French either.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/section>\n\n  <section class=\"aeg-learning\">\n    <div class=\"aeg-about-container aeg-learning-grid\">\n      <div class=\"aeg-learning-visual\">\n        <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aeg-learning-photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alejoespanolglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BF84F237-93C4-4402-A058-523473199874.png\" alt=\"Alejandro working during an online session\">\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"aeg-learning-copy\">\n        <h2>LEARNING FRENCH<\/h2>\n        <p>I completed a francization program and then studied written French for non-francophones at the university.<\/p>\n        <p>Written French was especially difficult for me. I had to repeat a level and I didn't manage to pass it.<\/p>\n        <p>My learning continued through work, everyday conversations with French speakers, what I had already studied, and what I continued to learn on my own.<\/p>\n        <p>With time and practice, words I used to struggle to find began to come more readily when I needed them.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/section>\n\n  <section class=\"aeg-park\">\n    <div class=\"aeg-about-container\">\n      <div class=\"aeg-park-inner\">\n        <h2>A STORY I STILL REMEMBER<\/h2>\n        <p>During one of our first summers in Quebec, I was talking with a French-speaking woman in a park.<\/p>\n        <p>My French was still very limited, but I spoke, searched for words, and kept trying to make myself understood.<\/p>\n        <p>My wife, who by then understood French better, came over in surprise and asked the woman whether she could really understand me.<\/p>\n        <p>In our family, we still remember her reply, which went something like this:<\/p>\n        <p class=\"aeg-park-quote\">\u201cI piece the words together and manage to understand him.\u201d<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/section>\n\n  <section class=\"aeg-other-side\">\n    <div class=\"aeg-about-container\">\n      <div class=\"aeg-other-side-head\">\n        <h2>WHAT I LEARNED BEING ON THE OTHER SIDE<\/h2>\n        <p>I am a Physical Education teacher by training. Learning French also put me in the position of being the one who couldn't find the words.<\/p>\n        <p>I learned to accept that learning a language is a process. There are words that are missing at first and others that are hard to find when you want to use them.<\/p>\n        <p>That experience influences how I work during my Spanish conversation sessions.<\/p>\n        <p>When we talk, I don't expect you to construct every sentence perfectly before saying it.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"aeg-rhythm\" aria-label=\"Rhythm of a conversation\">\n        <span>You can pause.<\/span>\n        <span>Search for a word.<\/span>\n        <span>Try a way of saying something.<\/span>\n        <span>Make a mistake.<\/span>\n        <span>Rephrase it when needed.<\/span>\n        <span>And continue chatting.<\/span>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"aeg-other-side-close\">\n        <p>During the sessions we work on what comes up when you really try to express yourself: vocabulary you need, pronunciation, structures that are still difficult, or more natural ways to communicate an idea.<\/p>\n        <p>When something needs correction, we can work on it and continue the conversation.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/section>\n\n  <section class=\"aeg-about-final\">\n    <div class=\"aeg-about-container aeg-about-final-inner\">\n      <h2>YOUR REASON FOR SPEAKING SPANISH MAY BE DIFFERENT<\/h2>\n      <p>Maybe you want to chat with your Latino partner and their family.
